The corona virus led to a pandemic in 2020.

The pandemic created lots of waves in different systems: families, organizations, communities, friendships, politics, economy, … the waves create separation, because systems come under pressure and split up. Thanks to the pandemic, the undercurrent unfolds easier.

Working from home, employees prefer to stay in contact with some of the colleagues, rather than with the whole team or the organization. The level of belonging and inclusiveness diminishes. Bringing the team together within the new covid-company-policy, has a different meaning for each of the team members.

On society level, it looks like a polarization takes place: yes or no, vaccination or not, rules or no rules,… And if you decide yourself you do not belong to 1 side, people around you will easily decide you belong to the group of opposite thinkers or actors. A kind of tension occurs. The living system reacts on a change in the outside world. Underlying dynamic might be an atmosphere of fear.

Relationships

Systems are formed by relationships between system members. When the system is split up in 2 or more parts, some relationships will end because of “no belonging to my team” any longer. Separation and exclusion are installed.

Love

Love = seeing with compassion + distance – judgment
(Bert Hellinger)

What would happen if we consciously give love a place in our professional relationships? What would happen if love gets more attention in the relationship with ourselves?
